In addition to the above working groups, we are also seeking individuals with the following skills:
Social Media/Communications: SAFE Shark and Ray is seeking a volunteer program partner with social media knowledge and expertise to work with our Communications Working Group. This person will assist with our efforts to connect via Facebook, InstaGram, our monthly newsletter, website updates and blog posts, helping to manage our private and public pages. This includes monitoring the page, developing content, and answering questions about the program. We would like to have at least a year commitment for this role, and estimate that it will require approximately 1 hour/week of time.
Fundraising/Development: We are also seeking a volunteer program partner with fundraising experience to assist in developing a robust fundraising program and strategy for the 3-year conservation action plan. This can be a limited role while we develop this plan, or a longer term commitment to continue to guide our annual efforts for funding.
Messaging: Volunteer program partners needed to assist with on-going messaging needs including preparing for Shark & Ray Awareness Day, along with assisting with training and implementation of the Messaging Framework. This position will require 2-4 hours/month, with one monthly meeting required.
